84 Project Teams and 25 Health Centers
We provided healthcare services to 542,267 patients in 23 countries representing over US$82 Million in direct services provided.
We seek to establish medical platforms for service and education that build medical capacity for those that need it most. The world’s poor lack basic medical care. Just going and doing good work is not enough, we must establish long term programs and facilities that address these needs and work to eliminate the needs of the less fortunate. We don’t just go and do good work and leave. We have MMI Staff on the ground working side by side with the community. We provide care and help train the people in the community to build their ability to help themselves. That is our calling, and with the help of over 2000 volunteers and loyal donors, we continue to increase the footprint of service throughout the 23 countries where we serve.
LOVE in ACTION: Compassion is an integrated part of everything we do because we strive to be the Hands and Feet of God. Jesus provided the perfect example of selfless love and compassion, and it is through this example we conduct our services.
Our Strategy to healthcare development
-
Strengthening and supporting local health centers
-
Facilitating short-term mission teams that come alongside our in-country staff and facilities to build medical capacity for the long term.
-
Providing Residency Training and Fellowship Programs for medical professionals to increase their ability to help their own community.
-
We ask the poor to invest in their care, they don’t invest a lot from our perspective, but we have found that if people have an investment in their care, they follow the doctor’s orders and treat the medicine, equipment, etc. they receive well. We don’t want to create a “welfare” mentality.
