MMI is focused on building capacity with our Programs. We have staff on the ground in every country we serve to ensure that proper assessment, execution, and follow-up care is provided. We utilize medical and non-medical volunteers to come alongside our staff and work with local leaders and medical professionals to increase their skill and raise the quality of health care being provided for the long term. Our Agriculture, Water and Sanitation, and Integrated Health Teams focus on eliminating the cause of disease and preventing it from every starting. We focus on the total person both from a physical and spiritual perspective. If the person is emotionally scarred from their situation, then that is just as important as the physical injuries our medical teams are addressing.
