MMI’s first projects to Nicaragua were over 20 years ago when our ministry took a number of teams to the country. After a long hiatus, MMI returned to Nicaragua to work near Managua in 2006. The following year Jo Anne Yon moved to Nicaragua to spearhead our efforts in the country. Since Jo Anne’s arrival– we have had continuous growth in both the number and size of medical teams traveling to Nicaragua. Our goal is to not only grow the number and size of 1 and two week medical teams, but to establish a Health Center in the near future.
